In our culture, movies and entertainment play a vital role, often seen as the epitome of the art of storytelling. The act of storytelling is a fundamental aspect of human existence. It has been a part of our culture for thousands of years, passed down through generations, and rooted in moral teachings.

Through movies, we continue this tradition of Scriptural storytelling, transmitting values, experiences, and knowledge. These stories can inspire, educate, and enlighten, imparting wisdom that can elevate the human spirit.

In our culture of entertainment, we find a diverse range of arts, including music, dance, and theater. These artistic expressions have long been our way of bringing the stories in the Scripture to life for our younger generation. These visual interpretations are often essential for them to grasp the wisdom inherent in the stories. For example, the Parable of the Sower or the Story of Yoseph, among others.

Another example of that is the story of Exodus and Moshe, which is one of the most iconic narratives in the Torah, symbolizing freedom, faith, YHWH’s intervention and the birth of a nation. The story is recounted in the book of Exodus in the Torah, and it serves as one of foundational narrative of our belief.

The climax of the Exodus narrative is the miraculous crossing of the Red Sea. With the Egyptian army in hot pursuit, Moses raises his staff, and the waters part, allowing the Israelites to pass through safely. However, as the pursuing Egyptians attempt to cross, the waters return, drowning the entire army. This moment marks the definitive deliverance of the Israelites from their oppressors.

Even though translating these stories into a visual narrative may not completely capture the magnitude of these extraordinary events, it still manages to convey the immense power of YHWH, our Elohim to viewers.
