Sabbath
*Genesis 2:2-4
2 And on the Seventh Day YAHUWAH ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then YAHUWAH blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because in it He rested from all the work which YAHUWAH had created and made.
*Exodus 20:8-11
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to YAHUWAH your Elohim. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days YAHUWAH made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but He rested on the seventh day. Therefore YAHUWAH blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart.
*Leviticus 23:3
3 There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a day of Sabbath rest, a qodesh gathering. You do no work, it is a Sabbath to YAHUWAH in all your dwellings.
*Exodus 31:12-18
12 Then YAHUWAH said to Moshe, 13 “Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe My Sabbaths. This will be a sign between Me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I Am YAHUWAH, who sets you apart.
14 “‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is qodesh to you. Anyone who profanes ii shall certainly be put to death; those who do any work on that day must be cut off from their people. 15 For six days work is to be done, but the seventh day is a day of Sabbath rest, set apart to YAHUWAH. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day is to be put to death. 16 The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it throughout their generation as an everlasting covenant. 17 It will be a sign between Me and the Israelites forever, for in six days YAHUWAH made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed."
18 When YAHUWAH finished speaking to Moshe on Mount Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of Elohim.
*Ezekiel 20:11-20
"11 I gave them My decrees and made known to them My laws, by which the person who obeys them will live. 12 Also I gave them My Sabbaths as a sign between us, so they would know that I YAHUWAH set them apart.
13 “‘Yet the people of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not follow My decrees but rejected My laws—by which the person who obeys them will live—and they utterly desecrated My Sabbaths. So I said I would pour out My wrath on them and destroy them in the wilderness. 14 But for the sake of My Name I did what would keep it from being profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out. 15 Also with uplifted hand I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land I had given them—a land flowing with milk and honey, the most beautiful of all lands— 16 because they rejected My laws and did not follow My decrees and desecrated My Sabbaths. For their hearts were devoted to their idols. 17 Yet I looked on them with pity and did not destroy them or put an end to them in the wilderness. 18 I said to their children in the wilderness, “Do not follow the statutes of your parents or keep their laws or defile yourselves with their idols. 19 I am YAHUWAH your Elohim; follow My decrees and be careful to keep my laws. 20 Keep My Sabbaths qodesh, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that I am YAHUWAH your Elohim.”
YeshaYahu *Isaiah 58:13-14
13 “If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please on My set apart day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and YAHUWAH's set-apart day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words, 14 then you will find your joy in YAHUWAH, and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Yacob. For the mouth of YAHUWAH has spoken.
MatithYahu *Matthew 5:19
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to complete them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who break one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
*Luke 4:16
16 He went to Nazareth, where He had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day He went into the synagogue, as was His custom. He stood up to read, 17 and the scroll of the prophet YeshaYahu was handed to Him. Unrolling it, He found the place where it is written:
*Yahuchanna *1 Jh 2:6
6 Whoever claims to live in Him must live as Yahoshea did.
