Sabbath Festival

Sabbath is given to us in Heaven, and it will continue when we return to Heaven. And whoever profanes Sabbath has no part in Paradise (*Gen 2:1-3/ Ex 31:12-17)

Observing the Sabbath

Sabbath is a Covenant sign between YAHUWAH and His people, just as His Name is, to separate them from the rest of the world as those whom He has chosen to worship Him on Earth (*Ex 31:12-18/ Ezekiel 20:12-20/ Rev 7:3/ Rev 14:1).

The Sabbath is the first of YAHUWAH's seven Festivals, and it begins on the seventh day at sunset, ending at sunset the following day, which corresponds to secular *Friday evening to *Saturday evening. This is because a day, according to the Creator, begins in the evening and ends the following evening (*Gen 1:5). This is in contrast to the secular belief that a day begins after midnight. That is why YHWH warned His elect against learning the ways of the world (*Jer 10:2/ Isa 55:8-9).

Two or three hours before the beginning of the Sabbath feast, believers leave their workplaces to return home in time for the celebration

The Sabbath Blessing

If you do turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day, and shall call the Sabbath 'a delight,' the set-apart day of YAHUWAH esteemed,' and shall esteem it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words, then shall delight yourself in YAHUWAH. And I shall cause you to ride on the heights of the earth, and feed you with the inheritance of Yacob your father. For the mouth of YAHUWAH has spoken."YeshaYahu *Isa 58:13

                                                                                                                   Sabbath Scripture

Sabbath preparation is done on the sixth day of the week (*secular Friday), because YAHUWAH prohibits all work on the Sabbath day. On the sixth day, the house is cleaned for the feast, and festive meals are prepared. Special dishes and tableware are set on the table, along with special candles. One hour before the feast, baths are taken, preparations are made, and special dresses are put on.

Coming to the Sabbath, after sunset, candles and special lights are lit. The leader of the household blows the shofar of gathering and reads the Sabbath Torah: YeshaYahu *Isa 58:13-14. He then lift his hands and bless the Name of YAHUWAH the Almighty, also extending blessings to his household. Afterward, the family conducts a brief service or joins with other families for a short service and worship. Then, they enjoy the Sabbath meal and goodies that evening.

The next morning, a general qodesh service is conducted in the Congregation of His Name, followed by the breaking of bread and fellowship.

Sabbath begins at sunset & ends at sunset
